Designing for technology change

Introduction

Inspired by our collaboration with European Energy to deliver visuals and animations for the Gigastorage project, the CEO of Waturu Toke Reedtz, reached out to us in early 2020.

Waturu, a Danish greentech company, has developed a sustainable and intelligent water technology to save water and energy and reduce CO2-emissions. Aquaturu, a sister company, designs, produces, and delivers disinfecting, environmentally friendly freshwater treatment solutions.

Challenge

Like most innovative technology companies, Waturu and Aquaturu experienced challenges in how to successfully communicate the value propositions of their technologies in a simple format to their clients, working partners and investors.

Solution

To deliver the best solution, we needed a good understanding of their business, technology, value proposition, and key stakeholders. As part of this process, we were in close collaboration with the team at Waturu and Aquaturu. Together we built a storyline and identified the scope of needed visuals and animations.

Aligning expectations and agreeing on a detailed project overview always prove beneficial in our client collaborations. Engaging with our questions and discussions, Waturu and Aquaturu revisited and strengthened their own perceptions of key value propositions and stakeholders.

Result

With the visuals and animations, the CEO of Waturu, Toke Reedtz, quickly informed us that they had successfully attracted new international investors. While there are many factors to this first result, it was influenced by Waturuโ€™s new and improved ability to communicate.
