Introduction

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners is a global investor in energy infrastructure with projects across the world. For their Annual Investor Meeting, CIP wanted to explore new ways of bringing investors closer to the projects and technologies they invest in.

Challenge

Visiting projects around the world is difficult and often impossible within the format of an investor meeting. CIP therefore wanted a solution that could give investors a more engaging and almost first-hand experience of selected projects, while adding something new to the traditional investor presentation.

Solution

In collaboration with Aprendio, KIRT x THOMSEN developed an immersive 360-degree experience covering four CIP sites and four different technologies. Using VR headsets, investors could explore the sites virtually and experience the projects in their actual surroundings, without having to travel.

Result

The solution was successfully used at CIP's Annual Investor Meeting and provided a new and engaging way of presenting global projects to investors. It demonstrated how immersive communication can make large and complex infrastructure investments more tangible and easier to understand.
